Mannaz/DIEU nominated for prestigious award

On June 11, 2007 Mannaz/DIEU was nominated as one of three finalists in an international competition in management development.

For the first time ever, The European Foundation for Management Development, EFMD, honoured a partnership between a provider of management or consultancy training and a business that demonstrated best practices in management development. Mannaz/DIEU was among the three finalists.

Mannaz/DIEU was nominated for one of the most ambitious leadership development programmes across Europe. In 2005, Fujitsu Services, a professional IT services organisation, launched an ambitious management development programme: The Fujitsu Management Academy. The programme involved 2,200 executives based in 13 different countries, where participants were able to follow the same, three-stage, programme conducted in 11 different languages. The objective of the Management Academy was to develop the company’s existing employees into more effective people managers.

Fujitsu Services worked in partnership with a range of organisations to assist in the design and delivery of this extensive people-development programme, comprising leadership specialists and Mannaz/DIEU. The programme consisted of a syndicate approach, working with Mannaz/DIEU and Oxygen Learning management and teamwork specialists as well as Track Surveys, specialists in the 360-degree feedback process.

Three finalists selected
The jury panel, composed of representatives from the EFMD Corporate members, Business Schools and Executive Development Centres, reviewed 13 entries and short-listed three finalists for the innovation in learning competition. The three finalists were selected, based on a number of criteria, such as innovation and creativity in the learning approach, effective partnering with a corporation, cultural diversity, sustainability and strategies for conveying new learning.

Mannaz/DIEU competed with a Dutch and an American business school for the prestigious award.
