Project Management 2 |
|
The programme is about the start up of a project – focusing on managing a group and the collaboration in the team. The programme is part of the Project Management Training from Mannaz.
As the project manager you ensure a structured start up of the project by focusing on your own management style, the conditions for the team as well as the development of the team throughout the process. Your challenge is to create commitment, motivation and cooperation when performing a task.
Participants
You would benefit the most from the course if you already have experience with project management. The course is particularly suited for participants who are facing the planning of a project or a new main stage of a large project.
Project Management 2 is an advanced project management programme where the emphasis of the course is on how the project manager creates commitment and quality in the process.
You would typically be a project manager, a project administrator or a project coordinator.
The participants are expected to be familiar with the theory from Project Management 1.
Benefits
The aim is to enable you to manage the project group in the start up stage of the project- with everything it entails. Therefore, we have constructed the course with focus on testing and reflection of concrete methods for team development and project planning.
You will gain an understanding of the dynamics and development of a group as well as tools and methods to
·Establish the efficient project group
·Provide constructive feedback
·Manage creative idea development
·Utilize commitment and humour in the project by means of team development exercises
·Relate the project manager’s tools to the relevant situation
·Carry out a start up seminar where you manage one of the sessions
You will receive personal feedback on the course about your role as the project manager.
Content
On this course you will complete an active start up of the project which can be applied as a start up of the project, at the start of a stage, at a change in pace or when a project needs to get back on track.
Games and creativity
By focusing on team development early in the project, the project will be off to a flying start. The challenge is to create commitment and cooperation when performing the task. By thinking creatively and including games as a supplement to the establishment stage of the group, the development of the group will be promoted.
The participants plan and complete a seminar on project start up. The groups will decide on the process and the appropriate tools. These choices depend on the project task and the composition of the project group.
Facilitator
You will meet a facilitator on the course who has a practical experience with projects – both from the public sector and from the private corporate world.
