DIEU - The Danish Leadership Institute changes name to Mannaz

From 27 February 2008 DIEU - The Danish Leadership Institute is called Mannaz to match its strong position in the international market for executive and capability development.

Mannaz is old Norse meaning people. The new name symbolises what DIEU • The Danish Leadership Institute is today: a leading international executive and capability development institute, specialised in developing people and organisations across borders and cultures.

Because DIEU means "God" in French, it is no longer an appropriate name when expanding extensively in the international market. This is why we are changing our name to Mannaz.

Mannaz means people
Mannaz is the old Norse word for people. It is also the rune letter for man. The new logo for Mannaz is handwritten and symbolises the focal point in capability development – the unique human being. We see the learner as a whole person.

Enabling real achievement
DIEU was founded in 1975 as a merger of post graduate training activities in the two Danish engineering societies. DIEU was then the acronym for The Danish Post Graduate Institute in Danish. Since then, the company has developed from being a primarily Danish course provider for engineers, to an award winning international executive development institute that provides capability development for executives, leaders, high potentials, project managers and key specialists in leading international organisations.

During recent years, Mannaz has been chosen as a trusted partner for leading international organisations to provide their global executive development solutions. Client satisfaction and loyalty have been ranked amongst the very highest according to international standards.
